What can we do?

There seems to be a lot going on in the world right now - elections in Iraq, Tsunamai clean-up, inauguration in DC.

I did spot this small article in the LA Times, and wanted to share it with you -- Ending Extreme Poverty Is Realistic, Economist Tells U.N.

Hearing it from an economist was interesting -- made me realize or think that solutions to some of the biggest problems are actually much closer and doable than I often think in moments of despair.

Look for more to come in the weeks ahead on this blog. I'm thinking of starting a new blog/theme -- tracking the evolution of thought on "what is human nature" -- which seems to silently underpin all of our current political discussions, both in the US and abroad. Stay tuned.
